About Dr. Greenwood

Dr. Ashley Greenwood is a fellow for the University of Colorado Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Originally from Omaha Nebraska. Dr. Greenwood completed her undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska, obtaining her degree in Athletic Training. She then pursued a career as a physician by receiving a medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She is coming to us after finishing her OB-GYN residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City.

She chose a career in gynecologic oncology as it was one of the few specialties where you provided whole patient care including advance surgical care, medical therapeutics, and palliative care. She was impressed by the deep connections that the gynecology oncology providers had with their patients.

Dr. Greenwoods’ research interests include maintaining quality of life during cancer treatments and surgical education training.

During her time away from the hospital Dr. Greenwood enjoys spending time with friends entertaining at home, being outdoors hiking, camping, or sailing and traveling when possible.
