On the Colorado’s Best TV show, CU gynecologist and advanced pelvic surgeon says women need to really “listen” for ovarian cancer symptoms
Dr. Saketh Guntupalli recently joined Denver area ovarian cancer survivor Amy Nofziger, on the CW channel’s Colorado’s Best show to discuss ovarian cancer. Dr. Guntupalli referred to ovarian cancer as the disease that “whispers,” because its symptoms are often non-specific and women have to listen carefully for them.
Symptoms such as bloating, pelvic pain, difficulty eating and urinary frequency may be an indication of ovarian cancer. Women should visit their gynecologist or gynecologic oncologist as soon as they detect something may be wrong.
