About Dr. Mastroyannis
Dr. Alex Mastroyannis is committed to providing exceptional personalized care to women with gynecologic malignancies, pre-cancers and complex gynecologic disorders. He provides comprehensive treatment including surgical management, chemotherapy, surveillance and follow up care. He takes pride in working collaboratively with patients, their families, and their entire care team to ensure each patient receives individualized, evidence-based care during their treatment journey.
He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, including robotically assisted surgery, for the treatment of complex malignant and benign gynecologic conditions. He has been involved in quality improvement projects aimed at increasing utilization of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathways to decrease hospitalizations and hasten postoperative recovery.
Dr. Mastroyannis obtained his undergraduate degree at Yale University. He obtained his medical degree from the George Washington University in Washington DC. He then completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) from the University of Pennsylvania on a NIH training grant.
Dr. Mastroyannis is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
As transplants from the east coast, Dr. Mastroyannis and his family are excited to explore everything Colorado has to offer.
