From the Colorado’s Own Channel 2 KWGN-TV story:

National Ovarian Cancer awareness month is kicked off locally by Wear Teal Day to support awareness for the fifth most common cancer in women.

Most women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer in their fifties or early sixties, although family history could indicate an earlier occurrence. The cancer is often not caught immediately because symptoms can be vague.

There is no screening process for ovarian cancer, so it is important to be aware of the main warning signs: bloating, abdominal and/or pelvic pain, difficulty eating or getting full quickly and urinary urgency and frequency.
